SALINE COUNTY – A Kansas man was injured in an accident just before 8 a.m. on Monday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway patrol reported a 2009 Ford passenger vehicle driven by Donald Fortin, 59, Topeka, was westbound on Interstate 70 just west of Solomon.

The driver lost control due to slick road conditions. The vehicle went through the median, across the eastbound lanes, and overturned.

A 2012 Ford passenger vehicle driven by Patricia Beth Smith, 52, Salina, struck debris from the rollover accident.

Fortin was transported to Salina Regional Medical Center.

Smith was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
