Fire caused about $15,000 in damage in southern Saline County at around 11 a.m on Sunday.

Saline County Sheriff’s Captain Roger Soldan said Saline County Rural Fire District #2 was sent to 10632 S. Centennial Road on the report of a machine shed fire at the property of Gregory and Betty Manning.

A front end loader had been used to feed cattle about an hour before the fire was discovered. The loader had been parked in the shed.

The loader is considered a total loss of $10,000. Damage to the shed and loss of feed was estimated at $5,000.

No one was hurt.
