SALINE COUNTY – Two from Salina were injured in an accident just after 7 a.m. on Monday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Mercury passenger vehicle driven by Larry Alan McDaneld, 54, Salina, was westbound on Interstate 70 at 9th Street.

The driver lost control of the vehicle. It left the roadway northbound and struck a Ford passenger vehicle, which was parked on the shoulder. The Ford was unoccupied.

McDaneld and a passenger, Angel K. McDaneld, 15, were transported to Salina Regional Health Center.

They were both properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
