There were no serious injuries in a three vehicle accident at the intersection of Ohio and North Streets just after 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Salina Master Police Officer Rande Repp tells The Salina Post at the scene that a 2015 Nissan Sentra driven by 53-year-old Paige Enriquez was in the northbound lanes of Ohio, when a 1998 Nissan Sentra driven by 37-year-old Alphonse Baham experienced a loss of brakes, was unable to stop, and struck the rear end of Enriquez’s vehicle.

Baham also struck a 2004 GMC Sierra pickup driven by 77-year-old Erwin Brown that was in the northbound left turn lane.

Enriquez was not injured. Brown and Baham suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.

According to Repp, Baham was cited for driving an unsafe vehicle due to the condition of his vehicle’s brakes.
