Nathan was nominated for his work with xWe Entertainment, a sports and entertainment company that provides family friendly entertainment for the community.
Nathan is the co-owner and co-founder of xWe, which started when he and three other co-founders were just teenagers. The group of four friends were big fans of professional wrestling and they decided that they too wanted to be a part of this type of entertainment. They initially began by performing shows for friends, family, and neighbors at shows staged at their homes. From there, xWe has grown into a much larger business with shows now being performed inside Heritage Hall at the Salina Bicentennial Center.
“Salina used to have such a rich wrestling history dating back to shows that were done at Memorial Hall,” Nathan said. “We wanted to bring that element of entertainment back to this community.”
Since the group starting doing shows last April at the Bicentennial Center, xWe has given back to the community with involvement from the Salina Military Affairs Council, Kansas Wesleyan University, and Salina South High School.
Nathan says they enjoy bringing this type of entertainment to the community. “It’s PG, family friendly, affordable, and the kids just love it,” he said.
The group eventually hopes to move to the arena side of the Bicentennial Center and continue to give back to the community and provide great entertainment the whole family can enjoy.
