Salina Police are investigating a case of embezzlement. A 38-year-old man reports someone has gotten into his disability payments account, taking $8,830. The money was removed from the account sometime between June 25th of last year and Tuesday.

A delivery man tells police his iPhone 6 was taken from his delivery truck early Wednesday morning. Michael Olmstead of Wichita said the cell phone was taken between 5:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., while he was away from his unlocked truck inside Dillons, 1201 W. Crawford. The phone is valued at $800.

A Salina man is facing charges in connection with making, and trying to make, unauthorized purchases with his father’s credit card. 26-year-old Darrel Shannon Jr. is alleged to have attempted ten transactions with the credit card between Saturday and Monday. The purchases he was able to make totaled just over $121. He was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of felony theft and ten counts of unauthorized use of a financial card.
