Introducing Cari Harpster, your BANK VI Hero of the Week!

Cari was nominated for the outstanding work she does for the Cans 4 Kansas Honor Flights program.

Cans 4 Kansas is a program designed to send World War II veterans to Washington D.C. to see the memorial dedicated to them at no cost. The program uses donated aluminum cans to generate funds by taking them to a recycling center. The money they are given for the cans is then used to pay for all expenses required to get a veteran to the memorial at no charge.

Cari collects can at her downtown Salina business, That 1 Bar, and donates them to the program. She also encourages other downtown businesses to save their cans and donate them to the program as well.

Cari also a downtown advocate that rallies the downtown businesses to work together.
