A 58-year-old man was taken to Salina Regional Health Center on Saturday afternoon after apparently being struck by a forklift he walked in front of inside Exide Batteries, 413 E. Berg.

Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan said Carlos Torres was complaining about back and neck pain after the accident, which happened  around 3:40 p.m.

Torres was transported by EMS to the hospital for treatment.
