Two Subway restaurants in Salina are victims of burglaries that occurred overnight between Sunday and Monday.
Police Captain Mike Sweeney said entry to Subway, 1014 E. Crawford, was gained by breaking glass in a door. $295 in cash was taken from the safe. There was no sign of forced entry into the safe. Total loss and damage is listed at $795.
Another Salina Subway location at 676 Westport was broken into during the same time frame. Entry was gained by breaking window at the drive thru. Cash was again taken from the safe in the amount of $360. Again, there was no sign of force entry into the safe. Total loss and damage is placed at $610.
Sweeney said the two burglaries might be connected and security video from the two locations is currently being reviewed.
