Three Arrests Made from May Most Wanted List

Just a little more than 48 hours after the release of this month’s most wanted list, three arrests have already been made.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday that James Coffman, Douglas Jones and Christopher Hawk have all been taken into custody.

According to arrest reports, Coffman, who was being sought for warrants for failure to appear for methamphetamine possession, felony drug paraphernalia possession and registration violations, was taken into custody Sunday evening. Jones, who was wanted on warrants for aggravated failure to appear, methamphetamine possession, and felony theft, was arrested Sunday night. Hawk, who was being sought on warrants for felony theft, was apprehended early Saturday morning.

This month’s list was just released Saturday morning.

Since the inception of the Salina’s Most Wanted program in 2000, a total of 2,290 arrests have been made as a direct result of tips generated by the list. As a result of those tips, more than 340 rewards have been paid out.
