Salina Crime Report – May 11th

CrimeReport2A Salina woman tells police that a credit card that was stolen from her vehicle while parked at Bill Burke Park on May 7th and was used to make unauthorized purchases at Walmart in Salina. Susan Lawson reported the theft to police on Monday. One of two credit cards stolen was used to buy two shopping cards, cigarettes, and a candy bar. Total loss is listed at $689.60.

A Colorado man said two pickups he owns were damaged while parked in storage in the 500 Block of N. 9th between Monday evening and Tuesday morning. Greggory Courm of Bellvue, Colorado said the steering columns and wiring was removed from two Dodge Ram pickups. Total damage has been estimated at $1,500.

A guest at a Salina motel reports the theft of several items from the back of his pickup between Monday evening and Tuesday morning. Worth Barham said a camouflage saddlebag, tarps, skateboard, and a toolbox with tools were taken from his pickup while it was parked at the Econolodge Motel, 1846 N. 9th. Total loss is listed at $1,155.

Fishing rods and lures are among items taken in a vehicle burglary and a garage burglary at 717 W. Grand sometime between May 7th and May 9th. Robert Moody also reported a Coleman battery operated lantern, a Zenith radio, a soldering iron and tackle box were taken from the bed of his pickup and an unsecured garage. Total loss has been placed at $975.
