
HERINGTON – Rolland O. Peterson, 83, of Burdick, died Monday, May 16th, 2016, at the Herington Municipal Hospital. He was born on December 11th, 1932, at the family farm near Burdick, the son of Iver L. and Stella H. (Hanson) Peterson.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Monday, May 23rd, at the Hebron Lutheran Church, Burdick, with his nephew Pastor Bill Peterson officiating; with military committal following at the church cemetery.
Mr. Peterson was a farmer stockman. He was a lifelong member of the Hebron Lutheran Church and served on the church board for many years. He was a member of the Burdick American Legion, and served as treasurer. In 1956, for over 25 years, drove the pick-up and delivery milk truck for dairies in the rural areas. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Graduated from Diamond Valley High School, Burdick, with the class of 1950.
He is survived by his twin brother Roger Peterson of Burdick, his sister Marie Thornton (husband-Lester) of Abilene, sister-in-law Lois Peterson of Herington, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by three (3) brothers: Earl (03/08/2008), Wendell (03/15/2006), Marvin (03/05/2006); and his parents.

Maddox Lee Jones
age 1, passed away Sunday, May 15th, in Abilene. He was born April 15, 2015 in Abilene the son of David P. Jones. All of his life was spent in the Abilene area.
Survived by; Father, David P. Jones of Enterprise; 3 Sisters, Leanna, Alivia and Lindsey Jones; 2 Brothers, Andrew and Ryder Jones; Faternal Grandparents, Connie Jones and Richard McNally of Enterprise; Aunt, Cyndi Everitt of El Passo, TX and Uncles
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, May 20th, at the Danner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery south of Enterprise. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Maddox Jones Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date. Council Grove – Brogan Manuel Villalobos, age 6, of Council Grove, passed away May 16, 2016 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, surrounded by his family. He was born December 26, 2009, at Morris County Hospital, to Jesus “Pepe” and Brandy (Frese) Villalobos.
He was a vibrant, energetic little boy. He loved to color, was artistic and naturally funny. Brogan was a true entertainer, with an incredible imagination. He loved big trucks, machinery and enjoyed fixing stuff with his brother, Maxton. He had a love for dogs, critters and bugs. He participated in numerous city recreation activities.
Brogan was looking forward to his upcoming Kindergarten graduation, field day, t-ball and flag football. He was excited to begin swim club this summer. When he grew up he wanted to be in the coast guard.
Brogan was a member of the St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Council Grove.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesus and Monserrat Villalobos.
Brogan will be dearly missed by his parents, Pepe and Brandy; his big brother, Maxton; and little sister, Haisley; his grandparents, Larry and Dawn Frese, of Alta Vista; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm, Friday, May 20, 2016, with a visitation following at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30am, Saturday, May 21st, also at St. Rose. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Brogan Villalobos Memorial Fund at Farmers and Drovers Bank.
