Kipp Road from Water Well Road to K-4 Highway will be closed to through traffic during day light hours to allow APAC-Kansas, Inc. Shear Division to place a bituminous leveling course and overlay on Kipp Road.

Work started yesterday June 1st and should be completed Monday, June 6th. On Tuesday, June 7th, the overlay work will continue north towards Country Club Road.

Saline County opened bids on the Bituminous Leveling and Overlay Project on April 11, 2016. The low bidder was APAC-Kansas, Inc. Shears Division of Salina, Kansas. They were awarded a contract for $1,756,808.60. The project was funded from the Road & Bridge Contractual budget line.

Owners of land along Kipp Road between Water Well Road and K-4 Highway will still be permitted to access their properties but only from the side of the traveling work zone upon which their property lies until construction is complete.
