ELLIS COUNTY – Three people were injured in an accident just after 1p.m. on Wednesday in Ellis County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a semi passed a 2006 Ford Expedition pulling a 1990 Chevy pickup on Interstate 70 just east of Ellis.

It created a wind gust and Brian P. Kruzelnick, 42, Aurora, CO., lost control of the SUV and it rolled into the median.

Passengers in the SUV Karen Kruzelnick, 33; Lataya Kruzelnick, 7 and Jahne Kruzelnick, 11, all of Aurora, CO., were transported to Hays Medical Center. Brian P. Kruzelnick and a 6-year-old passenger were not transported for treatment.

All were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
