Irene M. Saulnier, age 104 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Mt. Joseph Senior Village, Concordia, KS. She was born on March 29, 1912 in Aurora, KS to Xavier & Georgiana (Breault) Letourneau.Irene received her education from Cloud Co. Schools, graduated from Aurora High School and Marymount College. Irene taught in rural schools from 1930-1941 before she married Julian (Pete) Saulnier on July 1, 1941 in Eureka, CA. Julian served in the armed forces during WWII and was killed in action on June 4, 1944 in New Guinea.Irene returned to Concordia with her 3 month old daughter, Mary Jane. She went back to teaching in 1950 until her retirement in 1977. She taught at St. Joseph, Glasco, Aurora & Sibley Elementary and 2nd grade at McKinley Elementary in Concordia.
Irene was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the Altar Society and volunteered her time at the church over her many years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, FAL (former Aurora Ladies) & VFW & Am. Legion Auxiliaries. Irene was always willing to help out at church or in the community wherever they needed an extra hand.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Sat., June 18, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Larry Letourneau officiating. Burial will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery.Visitation will be from 9 am-9 pm on Fri., June 17, 2016 with a Vigil and Altar Society Rosary at 6 pm with the family greeting friends from 6:30-8:30 pm, all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.

Jerry Gene Britt, 75, of White City, Kansas, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016, in a tragic farming accident near White City.
He was born September 9, 1940 in rural Dickinson County, the son of James and Velma (Morrison) Britt. He graduated from Dwight High School in 1958 and joined the United States Navy. Upon returning from the Navy, he joined the family farm with his dad and brothers.
Jerry married the love of his life, Christie Worrell on July 29, 1967 in White City. They made their home in rural White City, where they raised their children: Tonja, Tricia and Todd. They worked together on their family farm. Upon his son’s college graduation, Todd joined his parents with the farming operation.
He was an avid sports fan, and was a season ticket holder for the Royals and Chiefs. He refereed basketball for over 20 years for grade school through college level. He enjoyed coaching Babe Ruth baseball and was fortunate to coach his son from Biscuit through Prep. He was an enthusiastic bowler for over 40 years. He and Christie bowled on a mixed doubles league, and later joined the mens league. He loved and cherished his family and was extremely proud of his grandchildren.
Jerry was a member of the American Legion Post 299, president of Junction City Fort Riley Bowling Association, the Thursday Nite Mens League and the White City Housing Board. He was also a past president for Morris County Senior Citizens. Jerry was honored to serve as a Morris County Commissioner for 3 terms.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Ronald Britt.
Jerry is survived by his wife Christie, of the home; children Tonja Britt, of Prairie Village, Tricia Schlessiger and husband Joe, of Ellinwood and Todd Britt and Jackie Pritchett, of White City; grandchildren Emma, Anna, Cassidy, James, Gracie, Julia and Mattie; brothers Keith Britt and Kenneth Britt, both from White City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 7-9pm, Sunday, June 19, 2016, at White City United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Monday, June 20th, at White City United Methodist Church, with burial following at White City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to American Legion Post 299 or White City Ball Association.

Rebecca “Becca” Jean Deist, 19, of Lyons and formerly of McPherson, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, in an automobile accident near Windom, KS. Her boyfriend, Nicholas “Nick” Schwarz and their unborn daughter, Hailey Jean Schwarz, also died in the accident.
Becca was born on January 6, 1997, in Hastings, MN. Becca graduated from McPherson High School in 2015 and had recently been working at Casey’s General Store in Lyons.
Survivors include: parents, Gary & Patricia Williams of McPherson, KS and Joshua & Starla Gesaman of McPherson, KS; brothers, Matthew Gesaman and James Gesaman, both of McPherson, KS; grandmothers, Cathy Deist of Manhattan, KS and Mary Gesaman of McPherson, KS.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 24, 2016, at McPherson Church of the Brethren with Rev. Jerry Bowen officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 23, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Nicholas “Nick” Aidan Schwarz, 21, of Lyons and formerly of McPherson, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, in an automobile accident near Windom, KS. His girlfriend, Rebecca “Becca” Jean Deist, and their unborn daughter, Hailey Jean Schwarz, also died in the accident.
Nick was born on November 13, 1994, in Biloxi, MS, the son of Christopher P. and Allison H. (Schick) Schwarz. Nick graduated from McPherson High School in 2013 and attended Hutchinson Community College. He was employed at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home in Little River, KS.
Survivors include: parents, Christopher & Allison Schwarz of McPherson, KS; brother, Zachery Schwarz (Vanessa) of San Antonio, TX; grandfather, Frederick Schick (Nancy) of Lake Forest, IL; grandmother, Joan Schwarz of Colby, KS; Godfather, Mark Schwarz of Colby, KS; Godmother, Gillan Hampton of North Barrington, IL; and numerous aunt, uncles, & cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandmother, Gay Schick, and grandfather, Herman Schwarz.
The visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Roger A. Hill, 64, of Wilson, Kansas, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born June 29, 1951 in Ellsworth, Kansas to Harvey Hill and Alice (Kral) Hill.
He was married to Joleen (Duryee) Hill on October 16, 1993 in Wilson, Kansas. He served in the Army.
Survivors include wife Joleen of the home; son Jonathan Hill of Colony, Texas; daughter April (Alan) Bucher of Prosper, Texas; step-sons, Daren Kingsbury of Ellsworth, Kansas and Joshua Kingsbury of Victoria, Kansas; step-daughter Denia Lutz of Wilson, Kansas; brother Mark (Debra) Hill of Wilson, Kansas; sisters Patricia (Bob) Schnur of Butler, Pennsylvania, Bonnie Buehler of Russell, Kansas, Virginia (Fred) Mitchell of Great Bend, Kansas and Terry (Gerald) Soukup of Wilson, Kansas; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Harvey Jr.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 11 AM at Foster Mortuary Chapel in Wilson. Inurnment will follow at the Dorrance City Cemetery. The Fort Riley Honor Guard will conduct military rites. The family will be present for visitation Wednesday from 9 AM to service time at the funeral home.
