More than a thousand dollars worth of jewelry was taken in a residential burglary that occurred during the day on Tuesday.
Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells The Salina Post that someone forced open a door to a residence in the 700 block of W. Prescott, sometime between 7 a.m. and 3:05 p.m.
Earring and necklaces owned by Debra Nichols-Nowlin were taken during the burglary.
Sweeney said the jewelry is valued at $1,050.
