1729_Mock,Steve_2016-08-24Steven L. Mock, 61, passed away Saturday, August 20th, in Enterprise. He was born May 5, 1955 in Abilene, the son of Jerry L. Mock and Louise Henderson. Growing up in Abilene, Steven attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1973. In 1975, He married Brenda Stover, later divorcing. Steven had been employed in construction and was a truck driver. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, the ocean and fishing. Steven was preceded in death by his father in 2014. He is survived by: a daughter, Jessica Gramlick of Moody AFB, Georgia; a son, Kristopher (Suzanne) Mock of Manhattan; a grandson, Jason Gramlick of Moody AFB, Georgia; Mother Louise Henderson of Abilene; four sisters, Debbie (Stoney) Farr of Abilene, Sherri Brock of St. George, Janette (Paul) Froelich of Enterprise and Betsy (Al) Ginder of Moundridge; two brothers, Robert (Treela) Mock of Slaughterville, Oklahoma and Mike (Nancy) Mock of Abilene and many nieces and nephews.
The family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 27th, at the Danner Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery south of Enterprise.

Randy Lynn McMillin, 59, of Collinsville, OK, passed away Tuesday, August 23rd, at St. John Medical Center, in Tulsa.

Randy was born in Salina, Kansas on July 6, 1957, to Thelma (Werth) Rowden and the late Mark McMillin.

Randy worked at Schwan’s Foods, for the City of Salina, and Hawker-Beechcraft.

Survivors include his mother, Thelma Rowden, of Salina, ; son, Shane McMillin, of Salina; sisters, MichelleThomas, and her husband Tony Moravec, of Salina, Staci Meyer, and her husband Jeff, of Lincoln, Kansas, and Jody Agin, and her husband Jim, of Salina; as well as numerous nieces, nephew, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 29, 2016 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow and services will be held at a later date.

SALINA – Jane Pauline McCormick, age 89, passed away August 23, 2016, at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.  She was born September 5, 1926, at Herington.  She was the daughter of William and Edith (Settergran) Sells.  She was married to James E. Gillett of Herington, on October 26, 1946, to this union three children were born.  She later married Vic McCormick of Salina, on October 8, 1977.  She was baptized into the Lutheran Church.  She and Vic loved bowling and travelling together.  She was involved with the Salina Drum and Bugle Corps for many years.  She had also worked at Tony’s Pizza in Salina, for nine years.  She was preceded in death by her husband Vic McCormick, her daughter Gayle Gillett, and a sister Betty Lee.  She is survived by two sons:  James Gillett and wife Amy of Lost Springs; and Robert Gillett and wife Debbie of Marion; step-children:  Connie, James, and Larry McCormick; 4 grandchildren:  Jayme Becker, Sean Gillett, Jared Gillett, and Brandon Gillett; and 6 great-grandchildren.  The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2016, at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion, with Pastor Jeff Lee presiding.  Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.  Memorial Fund have been established for the Marion Senior Center or the St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS, 66861.  Online Condolences may be left at www.zeinerfuneralhomes.com.

David Allen.jpegDavid Lee Allen, 49, of Hillsboro, Kansas, passed away at 9:32 a.m., Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 peacefully, at St. Lukes Living Center, Marion.

David was born in Lawrence, Kansas on March 30, 1967, a son of Kathleen Ruth (Kirk) Allen and Larry Alvin Allen.

David attended Soderstrom Elementary School, Lindsborg, Kansas, Park School, McPherson Junior High School, and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1985. He then attended Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas and Hutchinson Junior College, Hutchinson, Kansas.

He was a member of Harmony Christian Church McPherson, Kansas.

David worked for Poncho’s Mexican Restaurant as a manager, was a salesman and delivered for Troyer’s Bakery in Galva, Kansas, Owner and operator of Sound Investment Inc. and was a Mobile Disc Jockey and limousine driver.

David enjoyed singing with his family, Bethany Football games, and his daughter Grace.

David was united in marriage to Tammie D. Stone on July 9, 1994 at the First United Methodist Church, McPherson, Kansas.

He is survived by the apple of his eye, his daughter, Grace K. Allen, of Abilene, Kansas; his brother, James Allen, of New York, New York; a niece, Arianna Allen, of Bentonville, Arkansas; a very special caregiver, Peggi Wilson and her husband Jim, of Marion, Kansas; other relatives and a host of friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Larry A. Allen and Kathleen Allen Mueller and a brother Steven Allen.

Friends are invited to call on Monday, August 29, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Glidden – Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas.

Memorial service will be held at Harmony Christian Church, McPherson, Kansas, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 with Pastor Bob Park officiating.

Family request donations to Grace Allen Education Fund and they can be sent in care of the Glidden – Ediger Funeral Home; 222 West Euclid Street; McPherson, Kansas.
