Central Kansas is Soaked, Soggy, & Swamped

The monsoon season continued early Wednesday morning across portions of central Kansas with 1 to 3 inches of rain falling in less than two hours.

In Ellsworth County more than three inches of rain reported at Ellsworth, with K-14 closed north and south of the city because of water reported over the highway.

Just over two inches of rain fell in Lindsborg Wednesday morning flooding several streets. Emergency crews about 9:45a.m. responded to assist a motorist who found themselves in high water on Saline Street.

Road and street flooding was also reported in McPherson and Marquette.

Since Tuesday afternoon Salina has recorded just over three inches of rain.

The forecast calls for rain to end by Wednesday evening, with Sunny skies Thursday and Friday.
