A McPherson man is in the Saline County Jail, accused to threatening to kill a woman and causing damage to her vehicle.

Salina Police Captain Chris Trocheck tells The Salina Post that officers were called to the parking lot of Dillons, 1201 W. Crawford, at about 10 a.m. Sunday after a woman reported being in an altercation with her boyfriend, 31-year-old Dustin Phillips.

Trocheck said Phillips allegedly threatened to kill the woman after cutting a tire on her vehicle with a knife causing $100 in damage.

Phillips was booked into jail early Monday morning on requested charges of criminal threats and criminal damage to property.
