September 7th, 2016 – Blue Beacon International, Inc., in collaboration with the Salina Police Department, Saline County Sheriff, and Saline County Emergency Management will be conducting an active shooter drill on Thursday, September 8th. The scenario will provide a simulated emergency situation and allow law enforcement and employees alike to react to the situation.
The drill will begin at Blue Beacon around 2 p.m. Blue Beacon uses a high pitched audible alarm for emergency situations that will be tested during the drill. If you live or work in the area of 500 Graves Blvd, please do not be alarmed if you should hear this alarm sound on September 8th. The alarm may sound multiple times on this day during the drill.
