A lightning strike is believed to be the cause of a house fire south of Salina Tuesday morning.
Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan said firefighters were called to 5337 S. Ohio just before 5:30 a.m. after lighting apparently hit the home of Celicia Lorenson, starting a fire.
Although no damage estimate was available Tuesday morning, the fire did considerable damage to the attic and utility room of the home. No one was hurt.
Saline County Rural Fire Districts #2 and #6 responded to the fire.
