Power tools were stolen in the burglary of a detached garage of a home south of Salina. A Dewalt compound miter saw, Skil worm drive saw, and Polan Pro 16″ Chain Saw were taken from the home of Richard Chaput, 8084 S. Old 81 Highway. The burglary occurred between September 2nd and September 12th. Total loss has been placed at $1,169.

Several items of clothing, and a new iPhone 6 still in the box, were stolen in a theft of a business late Monday morning. Two Asian men and an Asian woman went into Rodeo, 1501 S. 9th, just after 11 a.m. Monday. One of the men and the woman distracted a clerk, while the second man removed several items of clothing along with the cell phone from the store. The clothing items included 9-pairs of Levi 501 jeans, a black Gucci belt, a black Herms belt, 4-t-shirts, and three ball caps. Total value of the stolen merchandise has been estimated at $1,436.
