A 36-year-old Salina man has been arrested on requested charges of burglary, theft, possession of marijuana, and possession of an opiate.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said Robert Hewitt entered the home of acquaintance Mary Ardis in the 300 block of N. Kansas, sometime between Friday and Saturday, and stole a camera, laptop computer, several blu-ray DVDs, a backpack, and prescription medication.

All of the stolen items were recovered during a search of Hewitt’s home. A small amount of marijuana was also found.

Hewitt was booked into the Saline County Jail late Tuesday afternoon.
