Police are investigating the theft of a moped from the backyard of a central Salina home.

Captain Chris Trocheck said someone took a 2014 Bronc Rally moped owned by Michael Trent from the backyard of his home in the 900 block of E. Ash, sometime between 11 p.m. Sunday and 4 p.m. Monday.

The moped is lime green, does not run and had no keys with it.

Trocheck said the moped is valued at about $500.
