1737_campbellchristina_2016-09-28Christina J. Campbell-Scott, 32, passed away in Salina. She was born November 14, 1983 at Ft. Riley, Kansas, the daughter of Edward G. and Cassie J. Campbell. Growing up in the Junction City area, Christina attended local schools. She is married to Robert Scott. Christina was preceded in death by her father. She was a special young lady who brightened everyone’s lives. Christian is survived by: husband, Robert Scott; a daughter, Kanniah Scott; three sons, Elijah Campbell, Isiah Scott and Dominick Campbell; mother, Cassie Campbell; sister, Diamond McLaughlin; brother, Dane Bryan; stepfather, Dana Glessner and maternal grandparents, Hollis and Lucy Worthen.
The family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Monday, October 3rd, at the Abilene First Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Todd Callahan officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the Christina Campbell Memorial fund to aid in defraying expenses. They may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.

(April 15, 1925 – September 27, 2016) 

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Tipton. A parish rosary will be at 7 PM Friday, September 30 at the Church, & visitation will be from 5 PM until the rosary service begins on Friday at the Church. Memorials may be given to the St. Boniface Memorial Trust Fund or Tipton Schools. Per his request, the casket will remain closed.

3904351_wlppMarilyn Glee (Peterson) Wilson, 81 died September 27, 2016 in Washington, Kansas. She was born on February 19, 1935 in Clifton, Kansas, the daughter of Eyvind and Laura Mildred (Marshall) Peterson. Marilyn attended Clark’s Business School in Topeka. She worked for the Kansas Bar Association, Washington Lumber Company, and Washington County Hospital. Marilyn married Vic Wilson, they later divorced. Marilyn was a current member of the Faith United Church Presbyterian in Clifton and a former member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she directed the choir. She also spent her time as a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout leader and was active in the Order of Eastern Star. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and sister Muriel Fagan.
She is survived by her son, Reed and wife Christine Wilson of Clyde, KS, daughter, Teryl and husband Douglas Goeckel of Washington, KS, and daughter, Tracey Hamilton of Bartlesville, OK, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services: Friday, September 30, 2016 11:00 AM at the Faith United Church Presbyterian Clifton, KS. There will be no visitation.

thumbnailMarie Celine “Tiny” (Carrier) Albers passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at Wheatland Nursing Center in Russell, Kansas at the age of 87. She was born on December 6, 1928 in Cloquet, Minnesota to the late Dennis and Marcella (Shanda) Carrier. She graduated from Cloquet High School and on April 12, 1947 she was united in marriage to Roy C. Albers in Reno, Nevada.

Tiny moved to Palco, Kansas in 1949 where she and Roy began working and raising their family. She was a homemaker and worked for Baxter-Travenol Laboratories in Hays, Kansas until their closing, she also waitressed at the Palco Café for many years. She loved music and watching sports, especially basketball, football, and golf. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville, Kansas.

Tiny is survived by her son Dr. Robert Albers of Albuquerque, NM; daughter Marie Albers of Commerce City, CO; daughter-in-law Christine Albers of Olathe; brother Ki Carrier and wife Helen of Klamath Falls, OR; sister Mae Storts of Longview, WA; grandchildren Jennifer Kysar of Luray, Wade Albers of Lenexa, Mark Paonessa and wife Elisa of Moore, OK, and Michael Albers of Bartlesville, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dennis and Marcella Carrier, husband Roy Albers, son Dennis Albers, daughter-in-law Lynne Albers, brothers Albert, Kenny, and Willie Carrier, and sisters Blanche LaVoie and Kathy Paup.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainville. Inurnment will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery near Palco. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00pm on Friday at the funeral home with Rosary Service at 7:00pm.
