Introducing Katie Herwig, your BANK VI Hero of the Week!

Katie was nominated for the outstanding way she helps the community as a therapist at Central Kansas Mental Health Center in Salina.

Katie has been a therapist for 5 years and helps patients from teenagers through adults. She is even part of the Center’s emergency team and is often called to the hospital to help conduct screenings and help out as needed.

She also oversees the PASRR (Pre-admission Screening and Resident Review) program, which assesses if someone is in need of residential care or home nursing care, which provides stability with temporary or long term care.

“Katie is not like other therapists I have had in the past,” said one of her clients. “She has saved my life”.
