A tornado touched down in eastern Saline County, just east of Salina just after 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

At least two homes in eastern sections of the county were damaged. There have been no reports of injuries.

Sections of several Saline County roads are closed while crews work in the damaged areas.

As of 5:30 p.m., Westar Energy was reporting 539 power outages in Saline County and another 701 in Dickinson County, where tornadoes were also reported Thursday.
