The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a laser being pointed at an aircraft Friday evening.

Undersheriff Roger Soldan said the Salina Airport Authority notified his agency after a pilot reported a green laser being pointed at him just before 9 p.m.

The beam was reported to have come from about 6 miles southwest of Salina Regional Airport.

Soldan said deputies located and spoke with some individuals in the area, but were not able to locate the source of the laser.
