A Salina man was arrested Sunday afternoon after attempting to flee authorities.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney said the Department of Community Corrections was attempting to arrest 21-year-old John Grennan on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in drug court, when fled on foot.

Officers were called to assist and Grennan was spotted running east in an alley between 12th and Lincoln Street.

He was found a short time later in a detached garage of a home in the 500 block of N. 13th and placed under arrest.

Grennan was booked on the arrest warrant as well as additional requested charges of burglary and felony interference, according to Sweeney.
