Introducing Katie Jones, your BANK VI Hero of the Week!
Katie was nominated for being a hero to a man that recently lost his wallet.
While at the Tri-Rivers Fair in August, Katie found a wallet that contained $300 and other personal effects. She immediately took the wallet to the police station and turned it in.
A short time later, the owner of the wallet contacted her to thank her. With two children just about to start school, the man was very grateful to have his wallet back. He offered Katie a reward that she did not accept, and instead told him that she was just happy to help.
“In my book, Katie is a true hero and we need to recognize people like this in our community, those who step up and make Salina a better place to live,” said Katie’s nominator.
If you know someone that gives back to our community or goes that extra mile to make our community a better place, nominate that extraordinary individual for Hero of the Week by clicking here!
