More Than $2,800 Worth of Items Taken in Vehicle Burglary

VehicleBurglarySalina Police are investigating an overnight vehicle burglary.

Captain Mike Sweeney said someone forced their way through the window of 2002 Chevy Silverado owned by 48-year-old Laurence Swisher, sometime between 11 p.m. Monday and 4 a.m. Tuesday, while the vehicle was parked in the 300 block of Irene.

Items taken from the pickup included a Healthy rotary laser, a Mission compound bound, a Milwaukee saw and a DeWalt saw. Total value of those items has been estimated at $2,830.

Sweeney said damage to the window of the pickup, which had been pryed open, was listed at $150.
