SALINE COUNTY – The first frost of the season arrived in central Kansas as expected early Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Just before 4 a.m., temperatures dipped to 39 degrees in Salina with a wind chill of 35 degrees.
The temperature dropped another degree to 38 just before 8 a.m.
The National Weather Service says Thursday night’s lows are expected to be much more moderate, with a low temperature forecast of 46 degrees
