A section of a Saline County will close for three days to allow a road construction project.

County officials say Mariposa Road from Whitmore Road to Kipp Road will be closed to traffic from Wednesday, October 19th, through Friday, October 21st, to permit a Saline County Road and Bridge Department crew to replace a cross road culvert pipe and rebuild the road section that is eroded due to flooding.

The site is located a quarter of a mile east of Whitmore Road.

Owners of land along Mariposa Road between Whitmore Road and Kipp Road will still be permitted to access their properties but only from the side of the work zone upon which their property lies.
