Kansas Wesleyan to Host Three Upcoming Events

Where: Front of Pioneer Hall
When: Monday, October 31, 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Kansas Wesleyan will be hosting its annual Trunk or Treat in front of Pioneer Hall on Monday, October 31, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The entire community is invited to enjoy Halloween in a family-friendly environment. Bring the kids, and bring non-perishable food donations as KWU students, faculty and staff will be distributing candy and accepting donations for the Salina Food Bank. This is a tremendous opportunity for local youth to meet Wesleyan students, including their favorite student-athletes and performers.

Coyotes For a Cure Breast Cancer Awareness Walk-A-Thon

What: Coyotes for a Cure Walk-A-Thon
Where: Graves Family Sports Complex
When: Sunday, October 30, 10:30 a.m.

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes are teaming up with the Tammy Walker Cancer Center to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research with walk-a-thon that will take place at the Graves Family Sports Complex at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 30. Participation fee is $5. Doughnuts, milk, and juice will be provided after the walk. Dress in pink (prizes for best dressed pink participant). Register at the gate. This year’s sponsors are LaQuinta Inn and Suites, Lambert Insurance, Yotee’s Bookstore, and the Sports and Exercise Science Club.

Volleyball Reception Hosted by the Salina Chapter of KWU Alumni Association

What: Alumni Reception before the 6 p.m. Volleyball match vs. Saint Mary
Where: Brown Mezzanine at the Hauptli Student Center on the KWU campus
When: Thursday, Nov. 3, 5 to 6 p.m. (Note: change of time from the previously announced time)

The Salina Chapter of the KWU Alumni Association will host a reception at 5 p.m. prior to the Coyote Volleyball competition against Saint Mary (6 p.m.). The cost of the event is $8 and includes Mexican appetizers. Make reservations by contacting Bryan McCullar at 785-833-4339 or by email at alumni@kwu.edu.
