crime cuffsAn aggravated burglary and a damage to property case highlight today’s crime report.

54-year-old Lorene Ramsey tells police that someone entered her home at 125 S. Kansas through a window sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. Monday and removed a gray Apple iPad valued at $400. A portion of the window screen had been torn. Police say Ramsey was asleep inside her home during the burglary.

Police are investigating damage to a vehicle that was apparently caused by a b-b gun. 21-year-old Shawn Smith reports that someone shot his 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo sometime between 6 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Monday, while the vehicle was parked at his home in the 800 block of Birch. A hole was found in the corner of one of the vehicle’s windows. The vehicle also had several dents and paint chips as a result of b-b shots. Total damage has been estimated at $500.
