Old 40 Hwy. from Donmyer Road to the Solomon City limit will be closed to through traffic Thursday (November 3rd), Friday (November 4th), and Monday (November 7th) to permit a Saline County Road and Bridge Department crew to place two-foot wide aggregate shouldering along each edge of the pavement. ROAD CLOSURE WILL BE FROM 8:00 A.M. TO 4:00 P.M. EACH DAY. THE ROAD WILL BE REOPENED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC THURSDAY EVENING UNTIL 8:00 A.M. FRIDAY MORNING. FRIDAY EVENING THE ROAD WILL BE REOPENED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC AND REMAIN SO THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND UNTIL 8:00 A.M. MONDAY MORNING. The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of the workday, Monday (November 7th).

Owners of land along Old 40 Hwy. from Donmyer Road to the Solomon City limit will still be permitted to access their properties from the side of the work zone upon which their property lies. However, delays should be anticipated if there are conflicts between on-going work zone and access to a specific property.
