Father and Son Arrested After Altercation

A father and son were both arrested late Tuesday night after an altercation at a north Salina home.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said officers were sent to a home in the 100 block of N. Columbia just after 11 p.m. in reference to a disturbance.

At the scene, officers found that Emil Perasso, 55, had been been in an argument with his son, David Perasso, 30.

Sweeney said the argument escalated to a physical altercation in which David allegedly punched Emil in the face. Emil then allegedly struck David in the head with a small wooden baseball bat.

Both men suffered minor injuries and both refused medical treatment.

Emil was arrested and booked on a requested charge of aggravated battery and David was booked on a requested charge of domestic battery, according to Sweeney.
