A 31-year-old Salina man is arrested Monday evening after allegedly breaking into the home of a relative.

Captain Mike Sweeney said Juan Escalante-Haros was found outside the home of David Escalante, 1661 W. Republic about 5:30p.m. Monday.

Escalante-Haros gained entry to the home through a window and took a bottle of beer and bag of Cheetos.

Escalante-Haros was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of burglary and theft.
