SALINE COUNTY – A woman from Abilene was injured in an accident just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Mazda passenger car driven by Brianna Chelsea Lake, 20, Abilene was westbound on Interstate 70 six miles east of Salina.

The Mazda rear-ended a westbound 2008 Mack truck driven by Duane A. Unruh, 47, Hutchinson, that had just merged into the driving lane.

Lake was transported to the hospital in Salina.

Unruh was not injured.

Lake was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
