Soderberg Road from Sundgren Road to Rose Hill Road was reopened Friday after the completion of two existing deteriorated drainage structures with new reinforced concrete box (RCB) drainage structures. The structures are located on Soderberg Road 0.20 mile and 0.35 mile south of Sundgren Road.

Saline County opened bids on the 2014 Reinforced Concrete Box (RCB) Package on April 14, 2014.This project consists of the replacement of twelve existing drainage structures with new reinforced concrete structures.

The low bidder was Reece Construction Company, Inc. of Scandia, Kansas. They were awarded a contract for $797,083.00. The projects are funded from the 2-mil fund for bridge and culvert replacement. The completion of the two Soderberg Road RCBs completes the 2014 RCB Package.
