The Union Pacific Railroad has requested that the Saline County Road and Bridge Department close Halstead Road from K140 Hwy. to Crawford Street to enable Union Pacific to make crossing and track repairs. The closure will begin on Tuesday, November 15th with planned reopening at the end of the day on Wednesday, November 16th. Owners of land along Halstead Road between K140 Hwy. and Crawford Street will still be permitted to access their properties but only from the side of the track upon which their property lies while construction of the railroad track improvements are underway.
