Car stolen in Salina ends up in Harvey County Creek

emergency-light-barA 2012 Ford Fusion stolen from the parking lot of a convenience store Saturday morning, ends up submerged in a creek in Harvey County following a chase Saturday afternoon.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said 42-year-old Keith Foth had left the car running and went into the Kwik Shop at 657 Fairdale about 8:15a.m. When he came back out the car was gone.

Later Saturday afternoon the car was spotted in Harvey County and a pursuit began, ending after the car went into the creek The Fusion is valued at $15,000.

The male suspect as of Monday morning had not been charged in Saline County, but was in the Harvey County Jail awaiting charges there.
