A Salina man reports wood cutting tools were stolen between November 6th and November 20th near the Smoky Hill River southeast of Salina. Thad Schamburg tells the Saline County Sheriff’s Office a 22-ton log spliter, two wheel cart, and a handheld log turner was taken in the 1800 block of N. Gypsum Valley Road. Loss is placed at $1,315.

Two handguns are stolen in the burglary of a pickup. Eric Kindlesparger of Brookville said the guns were taken while the 2007 Chevy Silverado was parked in the 1600 hundred block of E. Cloud between November 16th and November 18th. Taken were a Kimber 1911 US .45 caliber handgun and a Ruger, Strum & Company .380 caliber handgun. Both guns are semiautomatic. There was no sign of forced entry into the truck. Loss is placed at $$1,550.
