Two receive minor injuries after Sunday morning wreck

Two Gypsum residents were taken to Salina Regional Health Center by private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries after a crash early Sunday morning.

Saline County Undersheriff Roger Soldan said a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder driven by 25-year-old Kariassa Burge was eastbound about 6:45a.m. on K-4 near Niles Road , when she swerved to miss hitting a deer.

The vehicle left the road and overturned in the ditch, Burge and a passenger, 9-year-old Aryana Burge-Hoyte, declined medical treatment from EMS.
