The cause of a fire that destroyed at trailer home in western Saline County remains under investigation.

Lt. Stan Fruits of the Saline County Sheriff’s Office said the fire at the Nicholas and Kylin McKenna home at 7232 W. Colt Road was reported just before 5:30p.m. Sunday evening.

All five occupants of the trailer which is listed as a total loss got out safely. Saline County Rural Fire District #3 responded to the call.

Loss is estimated at $10,000. The North Central Kansas Chapter of the Red Cross is assisting the family.
