vet_ffffff4029880_wlppRoy Melvin Kriegh, Jr., 89, Minneapolis, died Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. He was born March 15, 1927 in Minneapolis to Roy M. Kriegh, Sr. and Leola (Pearce) Kriegh.
Roy was a 1945 graduate of Minneapolis High School. Following graduation, he entered the United States Navy and served during WWII and the Korean War. After the service he returned to Minneapolis to work with his father at Kriegh Pontiac. He and Carla Germaine Peterson were married  on February 1, 1948 in Minneapolis. Following the death of Roy, Sr. in 1978 he continued the business until retiring in 1996.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Germaine on December 8, 2006.
Survivors include his sons, Kelly and Mary Ellen of Lawrence, Trace and Jeri of Minneapolis, and Eric of Minneapolis; three grandchildren Andy, Chris, and Alexis of Lawrence; sister Shirley Taylor of South Carolina; special friend Norma Moore of Minneapolis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M, Thursday, December 8 at the Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. The family will not be present. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis.

Doris I. (Pilcher) Anderson, Wichita, formerly of Delphos, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at Chaucer Estates in Wichita. She was born in Delphos on September 19, 1923 to Bert and Inez (Brinkman) Pilcher-Griffin.

Doris and William Anderson were united in marriage on June 1951 in Fayetteville, AR. When she was not working as a Delphos State Bank teller/bookkeeper, she took great joy in raising and family and spending leisure time dancing, playing cards, working puzzles, and reading.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Melvin, Dewey, and Dean Pilcher

Survivors include her husband William (Bill) Anderson of Wichita; daughter Marla (Tom) Walmsley of Wichita; grandsons Brandon Walmsley of El Dorado, Adam (Elizabeth) Walmsley of Wichita; great-grandchildren Hanna, Jordan, and Hallie.

Visitation with family will be from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 9 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis, where a memorial service will begin at 11:00. Burial of cremains will follow at the Delphos Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Delphos Senior Center, Delphos First Presbyterian Church, or Good Shepard Hospice, Wichita.

An Ellinwood resident since 1950, he was the owner of Jack’s Welding retiring in 1995.  He graduated from Lewis High School in 1948. A Veteran of the United States Navy serving on

the USS Henderson during the Korean War.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church,

3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 1187, Heritage Club, lifetime member of VFW and American Legion, volunteer Senior Citizen Bus driver, all of Ellinwood; Eagles

He married Jeanette Kowalsky, November 27, 1952 in San Francisco, CA., she died October 2, 1987. He married Bernita K. Urban Schloemer in Ellinwood, she died April 27, 2015.

Saturday, December 03, 2016, at the Russell Regional Hospital.

Rilla was born on June 15, 1946, in Russell, Kansas, the daughter of Harold and Francis (Morgenstern) Bishop.  She grew up in Russell, attended local schools and graduated from Russell High School in the class of 1964.  She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to LaVerne D. Dietz on August 26, 1985.  They were blessed with six children Angela, Eric, Perry, Dale, Grant and Ward.  She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. B.L. Schultz and Dr. Michael Jones both in Russell.  She was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Russell.  She enjoyed cooking, reading and singing in church.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rilla is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Laverne Dietz of the home, daughter Angela Schneider (Shawn) of Russell; sons Eric Pringle of Wichita, Kansas, Perry Dietz (Chris) of Hays, Kansas, Dale Dietz (Ronnie) of Colby, Kansas, Grant Dietz (Rachelle) of Lawson, Missouri, Ward Dietz (Sabrina) of Hutchinson, Kansas; brothers Tracy Bishop (Janet Lee) of Seattle, Washington and Hal Bishop (Sherry) of Fostoria, Ohio; sisters Myra Mitchel of Issaquah, Washington, Janet Toman of Camarillo, California and Teresa Joplin of Scottsdale, Arizona; 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Rilla’s life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 07, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Church in Russell, Kansas, with Pastor Roger Dennis officiating.  Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Russell.  Visitation will be from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, December 06, 2016, at the mortuary with Family greeting guests from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. Tuesday evening.  Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church and sent in care of the mortuary.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
