Wednesday snowfall amounts reduced

12-5-wxThe first measurable snowfall of the season is still expected for much of the area Wednesday. The highest amounts look to be over central Kansas, especially along Interstate 70 where 1 to 2 inches will be possible.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 25. Light and variable wind becoming north 10 to 15 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 39. North northwest wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow after midnight. Increasing clouds, with a low around 21. Calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 8 mph after midnight.

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. Northeast wind 9 to 13 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 10. Northwest wind 8 to 13 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 25.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 8.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 30.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 21.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 24.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44.

Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.

Monday: A slight chance of rain and snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 42. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
