The Saline County Sheriff’s Office takes a report of a theft of property that occurred before October 23rd, and reported on Thursday. Jeffrey Oehlert reports a homemade log splitter,6’x10′ flatbed trailer, and a wood burning furnace from 235 S. East Street in Hedville. Loss is placed at $3,000.

No suspects arrested in an aggravated battery that occurred on November 26th. Just before 2a.m. that morning, 44-year-old Daniel Bailey of Marion walked out the back of Big Nose Kate’s, 117 N. Santa Fe, when a unknown suspect hit Bailey in the face breaking his jaw. Bailey was taken to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of his injury.
