A 24-year-old man was booked into the Saline County Jail Monday afternoon on requested charges of forgery and theft.

Logan Smith is accused of altering a check written to him by Tyler Parker of Salina on November 11th for $550.

Smith altered the check amount to $1,550 and cashed it on November 12th at the Bank of Tescott, 600 S. Santa Fe.

Police were notified on November 15th.
