Salina Police were called to a convenience store just before noon on Friday where a woman was trying to use a counterfeit fifty dollar bill to make a purchase.

38-year-old Kristina Albers of Salina is alleged to have tried to pass the bogus bill at Rod’s Total, 1401 S. Santa Fe.

Employees recognized the bill was counterfeit and called police. Albers, who had an outstanding warrant, was arrested on requested charges of attempted theft, obstruction, and providing false information.
